Finding someone with the skills, attitude, and chutzpah to be the marketing voice of Combustion was no easy feat. Within seconds of meeting Glendon, we knew he was just the freak for us.
His background was eclectic as all get out. A Bachelor of Fine Arts had taken him from managing an art supplies store to developing a penchant for scientific illustrations (seriously – check out his work. It’s insane!). This subject then propelled him into the blogosphere for more than 10 years.
It wasn’t long before Glendon’s work caught the eye of Scientific American who scooped him up as a regular contributor through his Symbiartic science-art blog, where his rants on creating, crediting and improving the quality of scientific illustrations quickly built him a seriously badass rep.
Between rants, he found time to work as the Social Media Manager at digital health marketing agency INVIVO, using his insight and skills to grab the attention of a whole new audience and up their corporate profile big time.
When he was referred to us, Glendon was looking for a place to rest his giant brain and dig into a company, brand, and offering he could connect with. Despite getting offers from other companies on the very day we invited him to join Combustion – Glendon chose us. And damn are we glad he did.
Today, Glendon bikes through four seasons and 5 kms to bring his ‘Mythical Flying Trilobite Fossil’ tattooed arms, big heart and mad skills to us at Combustion.
