Anyone who’s met Paul would agree that he has an irresistible quality to him. Unending warmth, coated in layers of integrity, he’s like the ice-cream sundae you never get a headache from.
Even his early career was driven by his charisma – lulling thousands of women to sleep with his radio voice, before joining the famed Citytv in a variety of production roles. Despite the fun and excitement, the curiosity and call of business was just too strong and he soon left to pursue his MBA.
Ironically, it was during a class in organizational creativity that Paul finally found his happy place. His unbridled enthusiasm for the subject quickly had him labeled ‘almost unemployably creative’ yet, much to the dismay of his engineer and banker cohorts, he scored a killer role at a top consulting firm.
Paul then jumped in to run the consulting group at one of Canada’s leading internet companies followed by stints at ad agencies like Euro RSCG, Sharpe Blackmore and Redwood), and founding a business building custom aircraft. He ran Training & Internal Communications at a paramedical franchisor and most recently was VP, Client Development at Toronto digital firm Soft Gravity.
This most circuitous route ultimately led him to Combustion where his passion for business strategy, creativity and people development were allowed to finally, and thoroughly, ignite. Paul now spends his days (and sometimes nights) adding fuel to the company’s creative fires while helping its clients to put them out.
